The probe and cables for Azuga asset trackers, where they plug in, and the open questions to ask before promising temperature reports.

A temperature probe lets an Azuga asset tracker report the temperature of something other than the vehicle. Think refrigerated trailers, tankers and other loads where a warm reading matters. The probe plugs into the tracker's 1-Wire input and the cables stretch the run to where the probe has to sit. Everything here is sold by Azuga in its official shop, shop.azuga.com.

On the GV620MG, Azuga's install guide names four of the 18 wires. The gray wire on pin 9 is the 1-Wire temperature sensor input. Azuga's tech spec for the tracker lists 1-wire support for up to eight sensors, a 3.3 volt output and four configurable digital inputs or outputs. The tracker is made for trailers, tankers, reefers and flatbeds. For the full wire list, see the GV620MG page.
Azuga also says that only the red and black wires are supported for installation on the GV600 family, and for other wires you should contact customer care. A temperature probe uses one of those other wires, so confirm that it is supported on your unit before you promise a customer a temperature report.
Azuga's shop sells probes and cables that attach to its asset trackers. Azuga has not published which temperature alerts and reports the portal gives. Ask Azuga what the portal reports, and test one probe on a bench and in a trailer, before you promise a reefer customer temperature alerts.

The GV620MG rechargeable asset tracker has a gray wire, pin 9, listed as a 1-Wire temperature sensor input. Azuga's spec page lists 1-wire support for up to 8 sensors. The older GV600 has its own temperature cable in the shop.
Azuga sells temperature probes and cables in its shop for its asset trackers. Ask Azuga exactly what the portal reports and what the probe is meant to measure before you promise a customer temperature alerts.
Azuga has not published them on the pages we read. Ask for the sensor data sheet if the load is sensitive.
No. Engine temperature tracking comes from the vehicle's own data through the tracker. A temperature probe is a separate sensor you add to an asset tracker.
Tell us how many vehicles and what they are. We'll quote the installation.
