What Azuga says to try when a device is dark, will not lock, will not pair or will not record, and what we check first.
Start with what you can see. The lights, the portal status and the last place the vehicle was parked answer most of the questions. This page lists the symptoms Azuga documents, what it says to try, and where we would look next. Device-specific patterns are on each technical page.
| Symptom | What Azuga says to try | Where it is documented |
|---|---|---|
| No lights when plugged in | Unplug, wait five minutes, plug back in. When green is solid turn the ignition on and drive two to three minutes. Try the tracker in another vehicle. Check OBD pins 4 and 16 and the power between them. | Azuga no-light article |
| GPS will not lock | Move out of a garage or parking deck. Drive a few minutes in the open. | Azuga "is it working" article |
| Frequent disconnects | Check for a loose or damaged OBD-II or hardwired connection first. Wait 15 to 30 minutes after a new install. Make sure the ignition is on. | ServiceTitan Fleet Pro page for Azuga hardware |
| Red light blinking every 2 seconds | A component failed, or the install failed. Repeat the install steps. | Azuga cheat sheet |
| Tracker works, camera will not pair | Check the tracker is 4G LTE (DCM970 prefix). Older 3G units must be replaced. | AI SafetyCam guide |
| Camera shows Offline or No Status | No Status means no data: a failed install, poor network, lost power, or never connected. | SafetyCam status article |
| Camera events do not trigger | Check lens alignment first. Azuga warns that misaligned lenses stop events. | SafetyCam Plus and Pro guide |
| Standalone camera will not turn on | Check vehicle association, the install and the network, then the status report, then support. | Azuga article |
| No videos on a camera | Check association, install, that there was a recent trip, and the status report. | Azuga article |
| Live stream fails | Check association, install and network. Auxiliary camera feeds do not stream with the ignition off. | Azuga article |
| Asset tracker shows nothing | Confirm it was activated, then check Admin, Devices, activation status. Allow 5 to 10 minutes after movement for the GL502. A ServiceTitan copy of the GV620MG guide says a first ping can take several hours. | GL502 guide |
Alert settings, speed-limit data, map pins and app behavior are software settings, and no cable will change them. Cellular coverage also varies from place to place. For those questions, contact Azuga support. Their address in the help center is customercare@azuga.com.
A short record like that lets Azuga support or your installer go straight to the cause. It also helps when the same vehicle needs a visit later, because the history is already written down.
Most of the fixes on this page are one of three things: power, sky or registration. Check those three before you swap a unit, and write down what the lights did before you unplug anything.
