What the shop says

The Azuga shop lists this as the temp sensor cable for the GV600, part number GV600GM-TEMP, at $19.99. It says the cable connects temperature sensors to a GV600 for monitoring temperature-sensitive assets, and describes it as durable. No length and no connector type is given.

Why it costs twice as much

The three generic temperature cables in the shop, HTC-007, HTC-008 and HTC-008-18, are $9.99 each. This one is $19.99. The shop does not explain the difference. A fair reading is that it is built for one tracker rather than being a general extension, but that is our guess, not an Azuga statement.

First, be sure what tracker you have

Azuga has had several asset trackers over the years, and the names are close. The GV600 is an older model. Our guide covers the newer GV620MG as the rechargeable tracker Azuga lists today. Do not order this cable from a customer's description. Read the model on the unit itself, or on the portal record, and write it on the work order.

  • Model shown on the unit's own label.
  • Model shown in the Azuga portal for that asset.
  • Serial or IMEI recorded on the work order, so the part can be matched later.

The wiring caution Azuga gives

Azuga's article on the GV600 18 pin connector lists many wires. The same family's install guide says only the red and black wires are supported for installation, and for any other wire you should contact Azuga. Red is constant power and black is ground. A temperature sensor uses another wire, so ask Azuga to confirm that temperature is supported on your unit before you promise a customer a temperature report.

A safe way to buy

  1. Confirm the tracker model on the asset.
  2. Ask Azuga in writing that temperature sensing is supported on that model.
  3. Order one cable plus one probe and test on the bench.
  4. Only then price a fleet job.

Not the same as the GV620MG

For the newer tracker, Azuga's guide names a grey wire on pin 9 as the 1-Wire temperature input and lists support for several sensors. We have not verified that this GV600 cable is the same part or fits the newer tracker, so do not substitute one for the other.

Questions we get

Does this cable fit the GV620MG?

We have not verified it. The shop names the GV600, and the newer GV620MG has its own wiring described in Azuga's guide. Ask Azuga before you try it.

Do I also need a probe?

The cable connects temperature sensors, so a probe is a separate part. The sensor probe, HTS-014, was $24.99 on 2026-10-21.

Why does Azuga say only red and black are supported?

Azuga does not explain. It means other wires, including any used for a sensor, should be confirmed with Azuga before you install.
