Carpet Cleaning Truckmount Monitoring

A carpet cleaning van makes its money when the truckmount is running at a customer's home or business. We wire the truckmount into the GPS tracker so every job and every hour of machine time is recorded, for carpet, upholstery and restoration companies across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.

How is a truckmount powered?

A truckmount is a cleaning machine mounted inside the van that heats water, pumps cleaning solution and provides strong vacuum through long hoses. Many truckmounts have their own engine. Others are driven from the van's engine through a direct drive or PTO style setup. Each gives a different run signal for the tracker.

What can be monitored?

Wire references are in our Vehicle Wiring Database.

Why does it matter?

Cleaning jobs are priced by area, room or time, and owners want to know how long jobs actually take. Truckmount hours at each address show real job times, which helps price work and schedule crews. Truckmount engines and vacuum blowers are serviced by hours, which the tracker counts on one screen for every van.

Restoration companies running dryers and extraction at water damage jobs can also use the records to support insurance documentation of when equipment ran on site.

What goes wrong?

After the install we run the truckmount with the van parked and confirm the platform shows machine time separately from van engine time, so reports are right from the first job.

How does it fit with the rest of the van?

Cleaning vans often carry expensive equipment, so remote lock control and door sensors are common additions. See van and box truck sensor tracking.

Who uses it?

Carpet and upholstery cleaners, water damage restoration companies, janitorial contractors and franchise systems that want consistent data across many vans.

What other PTO and equipment monitoring do we install?

This is one of the work truck and equipment applications we wire into GPS trackers. See all of them on our PTO and equipment monitoring page, and find wire colors for your truck in our Vehicle Wiring Database.

Which GPS tracking brands do we install?

We wire PTO monitoring into trackers from all of these brands. Need heavy duty trackers for trucks or heavy equipment? Every brand below makes them, so pick yours and we install it.
