Fleet Complete has been a familiar name in North American fleet tracking for years, and it is now part of Powerfleet, which completed its purchase of Fleet Complete in 2024. We install Fleet Complete vehicle trackers, asset trackers and cameras for fleets across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi, and API Signal technicians have hands on experience with the system.
Exactly which hardware a fleet receives depends on its plan, so we confirm the part numbers on the order before we arrive.
The same things that make any install go well, done every time. The device is mounted solidly where it can see the sky and cannot be kicked loose. The harness is routed away from pedals, steering columns and airbag areas. Constant, ignition and ground are metered before anything is connected. Then each vehicle is checked on the platform before it leaves us: location reporting, ignition on and off, and engine data where the vehicle provides it.
For asset trackers, we pick a mounting spot that hides the device and keeps it out of road spray, and we wire it to trailer power where the fleet wants it to report more often.
Powerfleet has said it is bringing Fleet Complete together with the rest of its business, which also includes MiX Telematics. For a fleet, the practical questions are about your plan, your hardware and your platform going forward, and those are answered by your account team. On the install side, nothing changes: we install, remove, swap and troubleshoot Fleet Complete hardware the same way, and we can remove older devices cleanly when hardware is replaced.
Fleets that want vehicles, trailers and equipment on one platform. A simple note: ask your account team which hardware and platform your plan will use going forward before ordering a large rollout.
Every vehicle is checked on the platform before it goes back out: location reporting, ignition on and off at the right times, engine data where the vehicle provides it, and camera views where cameras were installed. Asset trackers are checked for location and, where they are wired, for power. Anything that does not report is fixed on the spot, not left for a return visit.
We come to the vehicles, at your yard, shop or job site, and schedule around your routes so trucks stay in service. Each vehicle is metered, installed, tested on the platform and logged before it goes back out. Built by Installers, for Installers.
Need heavy duty trackers for your equipment? Every brand below makes them, so pick yours and we install it on your machines.
