A $5 cover that closes the SIM and SD card slots on the earlier AI SafetyCam. It is small, but it is the door to the card, the SIM and the reset pinhole.

The shop calls this a protective cover for the SIM and SD card slots of the AI SafetyCam. It is secured with a safety screw. The price was $5 on 2026-10-21. That is the whole description.
This camera has its own SIM, and it records to an SD card. Both sit behind a slot cover. Azuga's reboot article says to remove the SD slot cover and press the pinhole Reset once, and that the reboot does not affect the data on the card. So the cover is the door to three things at once: the card, the SIM and the reset button.
Azuga does not say whether the shop part is the same as the SD slot cover its article names. They look like the same job, but we have not verified it. Ask Azuga before you order covers for repairs.
A driver who wants the camera out of the picture can pop the SD card. A cover held by a screw makes that take longer and more deliberate. It is not lock-level security, and Azuga does not claim it. Think of it as a speed bump, and pair it with the tamperproof case on vehicles where the problem is real.
Whenever you open the cover for a reboot or a card swap, put it back, drive the screw down snug, and look at the status report. Azuga flags SD not mounted or not recording, and its fix is a reboot. A cover that is off or loose can be the first sign of a camera someone has been into.
The shop says it is secured with a safety screw. It does not say whether the screw ships in the box. Ask, or use the five-screw pack.
Azuga says to remove the SD slot cover and press the pinhole Reset once. The pinhole is reached through the cover opening.
No. Azuga says a reboot does not affect the data on the card.
