Zonar sells two families of hardware today. The first is Zonar's own platform, built around the V4 telematics unit, the Connect tablet, EVIR inspections and Z Pass, and used heavily by school bus, municipal and heavy truck fleets. The second came to Zonar with GPS Trackit and covers plug-in and hardwired trackers, AI dash cameras and asset trackers sized for small and mid-size fleets. Every product below links to a page with what it does, its specifications and what matters at install time.
Which Zonar Cameras Are There?
Zonar has two AI dash cameras: the VidFleet AI Recorder on the small fleet side and the Zonar DashCam on Zonar Coach. Both can add views beyond the windshield.
Which Zonar Vehicle Trackers Are There?
For vehicles, the choice is a plug-in tracker that installs in minutes, a hidden hardwired tracker with inputs and starter disable, or the V4 for fleets on Zonar's main platform.

Which Zonar Asset Trackers Are There?
For equipment and trailers, the choice comes down to power: wired with a big backup battery, solar, or a long-life battery that needs no sun.
What Else Is on Zonar's Main Platform?
These units run on Zonar's main platform alongside the V4. They are covered on the V4 page and the Features tab.

How Do We Pick the Right Zonar Device?
We start with the vehicle or asset, not the catalog. A car or pickup with a diagnostic port and no need to hide the unit gets a Geo 88. A vehicle that needs a hidden install, door or PTO inputs, or starter disable gets an LMU-2630. A school bus, plow truck or heavy truck already on Zonar's main platform gets a V4. A trailer or machine with power gets a TTU-2830, one without power that sits in the sun gets a solar tracker, and small or covered gear gets ZTrak. Cameras follow the same logic: the AI Recorder for small fleet accounts, the Zonar DashCam for fleets on Zonar Coach.
Two things settle most edge cases. First, whether the vehicle has a 16-pin OBD-II port, a 9-pin J1939 port or neither, which decides the cable. Second, whether another device already sits in that port, which means a Y cable so both share it. The Harnesses tab lists every cable we use for this.
What Does API Signal Do With Zonar Equipment?
We supply Zonar hardware, set up the monthly service and install it on site at the customer's yard. One quote covers the device, the service plan and the installation, and our technicians handle the cable choice, the mounting and the check that the unit is reporting before they leave.

What Are Common Questions About Zonar Products?
Which Zonar tracker is easiest to install?
The Geo 88 plug-and-play. It plugs into the OBD-II port with no wiring, and a J-Bus cable fits it to heavy trucks.
Which Zonar device works without any power?
The solar asset tracker charges itself from the sun, and ZTrak runs on a replaceable battery rated for up to 10 years at one or two pings a day.
Does Zonar make a dash camera?
Yes, two: the VidFleet AI Recorder for small fleet accounts and the Zonar DashCam on the Zonar Coach dashboard.
