A wet kit puts hydraulic power on a tractor so it can run a dump trailer, a live floor or other hydraulic equipment. We wire the wet kit PTO and the trailer into the GPS tracker so every dump is on record, for aggregate, asphalt, demolition and agricultural haulers across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.

A wet kit is a hydraulic package installed on a tractor: a PTO on the transmission, a hydraulic pump, a tank, a cab control and couplers at the back of the cab. It lets a tractor that normally pulls a van or flatbed also power a hydraulic trailer, such as an end dump, a live floor or a lowboy with a hydraulic neck. When the driver engages the PTO, the pump supplies oil to the trailer through hoses.
Tractor wire colors are in our Vehicle Wiring Database.
Dump trailer loads are often paid per load or per ton delivered to a specific site. Dump events with time and location back up every ticket. The body-up alert matters for safety too: an end dump trailer moving with its body raised can strike overhead wires or tip.
PTO and pump hours guide maintenance, and the speed alert catches the expensive habit of driving with the PTO engaged.
For owner operators who switch between a van and a hydraulic trailer, the record also shows which trailer was hooked on which day, which helps when settling with brokers and shippers.
Aggregate and asphalt haulers, demolition and site work contractors, grain and agricultural haulers, and owner operators who switch between trailer types. Straight dump trucks are covered on our dump truck tracking page, and dump body sensors on our dump body sensor page.
This is one of the work truck and equipment applications we wire into GPS trackers. See all of them on our PTO and equipment monitoring page, and find wire colors for your truck in our Vehicle Wiring Database.
We wire PTO monitoring into trackers from all of these brands. Need heavy duty trackers for trucks or heavy equipment? Every brand below makes them, so pick yours and we install it.
