Farm trucks with a hoist dump grain, silage, produce and sugarcane at the bin, pile or processing plant. We wire the hoist into the GPS tracker so every dump is recorded during the busiest weeks of the year, for farms and ag haulers across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.

An ag hoist is a hydraulic cylinder or scissor hoist under a grain box, silage body or produce bed. It lifts the front of the body so the load slides out the rear gate. The hydraulics are powered by a PTO on the truck. Unlike highway dump trucks, many farm trucks work short, intense seasons and sit for months in between.
Chassis wire colors are in our Vehicle Wiring Database.
Harvest moves fast, with trucks shuttling between combines or choppers and storage. A map of each dump and each loading stop shows how many loads each truck hauled, where they went and how long trucks waited in line. Managers use that to add or move trucks before a bottleneck slows the harvesters.
After the season, the same records help settle custom hauling bills and compare how each truck and driver performed, which is useful when deciding whether to add trucks or hire hauling next year.
Body-up alerts help prevent the overhead line strikes and tip-overs that happen around farm yards and fields. Hoist hours guide cylinder and pump service, which matters on trucks that work hard for a few weeks and then sit.
Grain farms, silage and forage operations, vegetable and sugarcane growers, and ag hauling companies. Highway dump trucks are covered on our dump body sensor page, and farm trucks overall on our farm truck tracking page.
This is one of the work truck and equipment applications we wire into GPS trackers. See all of them on our PTO and equipment monitoring page, and find wire colors for your truck in our Vehicle Wiring Database.
We wire PTO monitoring into trackers from all of these brands. Need heavy duty trackers for trucks or heavy equipment? Every brand below makes them, so pick yours and we install it.
