Farm Truck & Grain Truck Tracking: Hoist and Auger Monitoring

At harvest, trucks run from field to bin all day. We wire the grain body hoist and the auger into the tracker, so each unload is recorded with the time and the place.

Fleet installs from $65 per vehicle. Testing a few vehicles first? We do pilot installs too.

What do we monitor on farm trucks and equipment?

Each picture shows the part that gets wired into the tracker, circled in red. These are illustrations, not photos of customer trucks. The sections below explain how each one is monitored.

How is a grain truck's hoist monitored?

A grain body is raised by a hydraulic hoist from the PTO. The PTO signal records each raise with location, so the platform shows where each load was dumped, at the bin, the elevator or the field edge.

Can a grain auger be tracked?

Yes. A truck or trailer mounted auger runs from the PTO or hydraulics, and its run signal records unloading time at each bin.

What does a farm get from tracking its trucks?

Harvest moves fast, and the record of what went where usually lives in someone's head. With the hoist and auger wired in, each truck's loads show up on the map by field and by bin, with the time. That helps settle hauling pay, match loads to scale tickets and see which trucks were waiting rather than hauling.

Farm equipment such as tractors and sprayers can be tracked too. See heavy equipment GPS tracking.

How do we plan a farm truck install?

What does the office see once it is wired in?

How do we wire and test it?

We meter every signal before we use it, so the tracker records the equipment actually working, not a switch that was only requested. Power connections are fused, wiring is secured away from heat and moving parts, and each input is tested with the equipment running before the truck goes back out. Wire colors for the truck side are in our Vehicle Wiring Database. See all the equipment we monitor for the other trucks and equipment we wire in.

Which GPS tracking brands do we install?

Every major tracking platform can track farm trucks, and we wire them into all of them. Need heavy duty trackers for trucks or heavy equipment? Every brand below makes them, so pick yours and we install it.
