The shop text answers none of these. We will not guess, and we would not roll the case out to a fleet without asking Azuga or testing one.
| Situation | Case worth considering? |
|---|---|
| One driver, one truck, good trust | Probably not |
| Shared vehicles with many drivers | Yes, worth testing |
| Rental or lease returns where cameras walk away | Yes |
| A vehicle where a driver has already covered or unplugged a camera | Yes, with a policy as well |
The table is a judgement call. A case solves a physical problem. It does not solve a trust problem, and a driver who objects to the camera will find another way around it. A short written policy, signed by the driver, does more for a camera program than any enclosure, and the case then backs it up.
Order one case, fit it on one vehicle, and walk through every task a technician does: aiming, card swap, reboot, reading the screen. If any of them needs the case removed, add that time to every service visit and decide if the protection is worth it. Write the result down, with a photo, so the whole team installs it the same way. Keep one spare case on the shelf, because a cracked or lost case leaves a vehicle unprotected until the next visit.
Azuga does not claim that. It says the case guards against unauthorized access. We read it as a deterrent, not a lock.
The shop does not say. Test one before you order for a fleet.
No. The lens cover protects against dirt. The case is about people. They do different jobs.
