The plug-in way to power a SafetyCam Plus, with no fuse box work. It only works if the vehicle is already set up for it, so here is what to check first.

This is the OBD power cable for the SafetyCam Plus. The shop describes it as plug and play: it connects to the vehicle OBDII port and powers the camera without hardwiring. That is the whole product description. It lists no cable length, so measure the route from the port to the mirror before you assume it reaches.
Azuga's OBD-II install guide for the Plus and Pro uses a Y-cable. The Y-cable plugs into the diagnostic port. One female end goes to the OBD-II tracker, and the other goes to the SafetyCam power cable. Azuga says to do it with the vehicle off. So this cable is one piece of a chain, not a stand-alone plug.
A part we could not find in the shop
We did not see the OBD Y-cable itself in the shop listing we reviewed on 2026-10-21. Azuga's guides refer to it, so it may ship in a kit. Ask Azuga before you promise a customer a one-cable install.
A plug-in feed is easy to pull out. On a shared vehicle or a vehicle that gets serviced often, someone will unplug it, and the camera will stop. A hardwire cable is slower to fit but nobody undoes it by accident. Weigh that against the faster install. Both cables cost the same in the shop, so the choice is about the vehicle and the people who use it.
Azuga's guide says the Y-cable is part of the OBD route. It was not in the shop listing we reviewed, so ask Azuga whether it comes with the camera or the tracker.
Then there is nothing for the Y-cable second leg. Azuga does not say a Plus can power from the port alone. Use the hardwire cable, or ask Azuga about options.
Not as far as we can tell. The shop lists a separate OBD cable for the Pro, and it showed sold out when we checked.
