A roll-off truck gets paid per drop and per pull, so the record that matters is when the hoist went up and where. We wire the hoist, the PTO and a container switch into your tracker so every drop and pickup lands on the map. We do this across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.

A roll-off truck carries open top containers on a tilting frame. A cable hoist or hook lift tips the frame and slides the container on or off at a job site, and the truck hauls full containers to a landfill or transfer station.
The hoist runs on hydraulics driven by a PTO. Watching the hoist and PTO tells you when a container was set down or picked up.
Wire colors for the chassis side are in our Vehicle Wiring Database.
Each hoist cycle shows on the map with its address and time, so managers can match drops and pulls to work orders and invoices. It also shows trucks driving empty, how long each dump took at the landfill, and when the hoist is due for service. The signals are simple on and off inputs, so they work with trackers that have auxiliary inputs. How the reports look depends on how your platform names and shows those inputs.
For the whole group, see our roll-off and hooklift tracking page.
Dumpster rental companies, waste haulers, demolition and construction contractors, scrap and recycling yards and city sanitation departments.
When customers dispute a pickup or say a container was never delivered, the hoist record at that address settles it.
This is one of the work truck and equipment applications we wire into GPS trackers. See all of them on our PTO and equipment monitoring page, and find wire colors for your truck in our Vehicle Wiring Database.
We wire PTO monitoring into trackers from all of these brands. Need heavy duty trackers for trucks or heavy equipment? Every brand below makes them, so pick yours and we install it.
