On a rear loader, proof of service comes down to where the packer cycled. We wire the packer, the tailgate and the PTO into your tracker so every stop on the route shows when the truck actually picked up. We do this across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.

A rear loader is a refuse truck that crews load from the back, by hand or with a cart tipper. A packer blade in the hopper sweeps the trash forward and compacts it into the body, and the tailgate lifts to dump at the landfill or transfer station.
The packer and tailgate run on hydraulics driven by a PTO. Each packer cycle and each tailgate lift is a signal the tracker can record.
Wire colors for the chassis side are in our Vehicle Wiring Database.
Each street on the route shows packer cycles, so missed pickup calls can be checked against where the truck actually cycled. Managers also see how long each route took, how many trips to the landfill it needed and when the hydraulics are due for service. The signals are simple on and off inputs, so they work with trackers that have auxiliary inputs. How the reports look depends on how your platform names and shows those inputs.

City and county sanitation departments, private waste haulers, recycling collectors and contract haulers serving neighborhoods and businesses.
When a resident says the truck never came, the packer record on that street gives the office a fast, fair answer.
This is one of the work truck and equipment applications we wire into GPS trackers. See all of them on our PTO and equipment monitoring page, and find wire colors for your truck in our Vehicle Wiring Database.
We wire PTO monitoring into trackers from all of these brands. Need heavy duty trackers for trucks or heavy equipment? Every brand below makes them, so pick yours and we install it.
