At harvest, every load of grain moves from field to truck to bin or elevator, and the unloading auger is where each handoff happens. We wire unloading augers into GPS trackers so every unload is recorded, for farms, custom harvesters and grain haulers across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.

Some grain trucks and feed trucks carry an unloading auger, a long screw conveyor in a tube that moves grain or feed from the truck's body up and out to a bin, a feeder or another vehicle. The auger is driven by hydraulics or a PTO, and swings out on a boom for unloading. Feed trucks that deliver to livestock farms use the same principle to fill feed bins.
Chassis wire colors are in our Vehicle Wiring Database.
Feed mills and integrators deliver to many farms a day and need a record of which bins were filled and when. Grain operations want to know which loads went where during harvest. A dated, located record of each auger run supports delivery tickets and helps resolve the inevitable questions about a missed bin.
For feed delivery especially, the record also shows how long each farm stop took and how much of a driver's day was spent unloading versus driving, which helps plan routes and price deliveries fairly.
Unloading augers can strike power lines when swung out near farm yards. An alert for moving with the auger out, and a clear record of where augers are used, supports a farm's safety program. Our wiring never connects to auger safety controls.
Feed mills and livestock integrators, grain farms, custom harvesters and grain hauling companies. The rest of the farm fleet is on our farm truck tracking page.
This is one of the work truck and equipment applications we wire into GPS trackers. See all of them on our PTO and equipment monitoring page, and find wire colors for your truck in our Vehicle Wiring Database.
We wire PTO monitoring into trackers from all of these brands. Need heavy duty trackers for trucks or heavy equipment? Every brand below makes them, so pick yours and we install it.
