A concrete pump truck is billed by the hour on the pour and serviced by the hours the pump runs. We wire the pump, the outriggers and the boom into the GPS tracker so every pour is on record, for concrete pumping companies across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.

A boom pump truck carries a hydraulic concrete pump and a folding boom that places concrete where the crew needs it. Before the boom unfolds, outriggers swing out and down to level and steady the truck. On most boom pumps the pump and boom hydraulics are driven from the truck engine through a split shaft PTO, which sends engine power to the pump instead of the rear axles while the truck is parked.
Line pumps, which are trailer mounted, usually run on their own engine and push concrete through hoses rather than a boom. Both kinds can be tracked, but the signals are different.
Truck side wire colors are in our Vehicle Wiring Database.
Pumping is usually billed by the hour with a minimum, and the customer often disputes the clock. A record that shows when the outriggers went down, when pumping started and stopped, and when the truck left backs up the ticket.
Pump hours matter for the equipment too. Pistons, wear plates, cutting rings and boom pipe all wear with pumping, not with road miles. Many pumps have their own hour meter, but a tracker puts every truck's hours on one screen with service reminders, alongside where each truck is right now.
Concrete pumping contractors, ready mix companies that run their own pumps, and general contractors with a pump in their fleet. Ready mix drum trucks are a different job with different signals. See our concrete truck tracking page for those.
This is one of the work truck and equipment applications we wire into GPS trackers. See all of them on our PTO and equipment monitoring page, and find wire colors for your truck in our Vehicle Wiring Database.
We wire PTO monitoring into trackers from all of these brands. Need heavy duty trackers for trucks or heavy equipment? Every brand below makes them, so pick yours and we install it.
