A fleet rarely has one kind of truck. This page is about C601-0021 and a simple record you can keep so the right 9 pin cable shows up for the right truck.

This is the 9 pin Type 2 JBUS extender cable with a twist-lock connection. The shop lists it at 800 mm, with the text giving about 2.5 feet, for heavy-duty trucks. It was $15 and in stock on 2026-10-21. As with the other 9 pin cables, the shop does not explain what makes it Type 2.
Order one cable for one truck and you can just look at the port. Order for twelve trucks of different ages and makes, and the cables start to blur together. The 9 pin group alone has three parts with almost the same name and the same price. A pile of cables that are all close but not right is a common way for a fleet job to stall.
Before you order, walk the lot once and fill in one row per truck. It takes a few minutes per unit and saves a second trip.
| Column | What goes in it |
|---|---|
| Unit number | The fleet number painted on the truck. |
| Port pins | 6, 9 or something else. Count them. |
| Connector type | Type 1, Type 2 or not sure. Add a photo if not sure. |
| Lock ring | Yes or no, from the photo of the plug. |
| Port in use | What is already plugged in, and who owns it. |
| Cable ordered | The Azuga part number, so the box matches the row. |
Rows with not sure get a photo sent to Azuga before the order is placed.
Azuga's PTO guide says its JBus PTO device supports 6 pin, 9 pin Type 1 and 9 pin Type 2 ports. That tells us the tracker side is covered for either type, and the cable has to supply the match.
We do not have an Azuga number. The answer comes truck by truck, which is why a survey sheet helps.
Only if both trucks have the same port. The cable stays on the truck it was fitted to, so it is easy to leave the right device on the right unit.
Take photos and send them to Azuga, then wait for the answer. A guess costs a return trip and keeps the truck off the system.
