A scissor lift truck raises a flat platform straight up, used for aircraft catering and service, sign and ceiling work, and loading at height. We wire the platform and its hydraulics into the GPS tracker so every lift is recorded with a time and a place, for fleets across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.

Instead of a boom, a scissor lift truck uses crossed arms under a platform that extend upward like an accordion. The platform stays level as it rises, which makes it useful for carrying carts, tools or crews to a fixed height. The lift runs on a hydraulic pump, usually driven by a PTO or an electric motor, depending on the truck.
Chassis wire colors are in our Vehicle Wiring Database.
At airports, catering and service trucks work to tight schedules around aircraft, and a record of each lift at each stand shows the work happened. For sign and building service fleets, lift time is billable time. For every fleet, a platform-up alert while driving protects the truck and the crew.
Airline catering companies and ground handlers use high lift trucks to load galleys and cabin supplies. Sign, lighting and building maintenance contractors use smaller scissor bodies to reach ceilings, canopies and storefronts. Warehouses and event companies use them for loading at dock or stage height.
In each case the truck often works inside a tight area, like an airport ramp or a busy loading zone, where location and timing matter. A tracked record of every lift, tied to the stand, dock or address, gives operations teams the data they need without paperwork, and gives maintenance teams accurate lift hours for scheduled service.
This is one of the work truck and equipment applications we wire into GPS trackers. See all of them on our PTO and equipment monitoring page, and find wire colors for your truck in our Vehicle Wiring Database.
We wire PTO monitoring into trackers from all of these brands. Need heavy duty trackers for trucks or heavy equipment? Every brand below makes them, so pick yours and we install it.
