The GO10 Plus shows its status through one light that turns white, orange or green and changes rhythm. This page plays every pattern Geotab publishes, says what each means, and gathers the harness, I/O and spec details.
Geotab's install guides for the GO10 and GO10 Plus describe a single status light that changes color and flash rhythm. There is no separate light table for the Plus; the guides that cover both devices list the same seven patterns, two white, two orange and three green. White means the unit is busy starting or updating, orange means it is missing a cellular or GPS signal, and green means it is powered and running. Geotab documents no status beeps for the GO10 Plus. Tap any button below to see it and hear what it means.
🔇 The GO10 Plus has no status beeps. Watch the light.
Easy way to remember it: White means hold on. Orange means it can't reach the network or the sky. Green means go.

Each button plays the pattern on the GO10 Plus above, says out loud what it means, and tells you what to do.
| Light | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| White, slow flash | Starting up or waking | Keep power on and wait |
| White, fast flash | Firmware loading | Never unplug it mid-update |
| Orange, fast flash | Cellular signal weak or missing | Drive to stronger coverage |
| Orange, two flashes | GPS signal weak or missing | Park under open sky, nothing metal above it |
| Green, solid | Powered and running | No action |
| Green, fast flash | Ignition not seen | Key on; check the ignition feed |
| Green, every 3 seconds | Light sleep | No action |
Any other behavior, including no light with the key on, points to power or the harness connection rather than a device status.
Drivers never need to touch the GO10 Plus. It wakes with the ignition, reports while the vehicle runs and rests in light sleep once parked, with the results landing in MyGeotab. Its extras work in the background: an in-cab Wi-Fi hotspot for tablets, a client mode that uploads over depot Wi-Fi, satellite-ready tracking for weak cell areas, and an internal battery that keeps about five seconds of high-resolution collision data if vehicle power drops. Geotab has not yet published how the satellite service is turned on.
Keep cargo and loose panels away from the harness, and let the T-harness carry the shop's scan tool so nobody unplugs the unit. When a vehicle leaves the fleet, have us remove the device and close its record.
Geotab lists these vehicle harness kits for both the GO10 and the GO10 Plus:
The same install guide group also holds the HRN-XBS16A1 adapter and the HRN-XDS06T2 6-pin heavy-duty T-harness. Inputs run through the HRN-XGL06S6, whose 6-pin Molex plug clips into the rear I/O port; Geotab marks its white O1 and black GND wires as not used at this time.

Watch for the light to move past slow white and hold solid green with the key on. Make sure every connector clip has engaged and the diagnostic port stays open for the shop. Tie the unit down with two cable ties and keep every lead away from pedals and airbags. If inputs were wired, toggle each piece of equipment and confirm the change in MyInstall before closing the panels.
White means hold on, orange means it cannot reach the network or the sky, and green means go. White is start-up or an update, orange is a missing cellular or GPS signal, and green covers running, no ignition and light sleep.
Geotab publishes no beep codes for its status. The one sound it describes is a confirmation beep from the device while each wired input is calibrated in MyInstall, so for everything else, read the light.
Geotab files the GO10 and GO10 Plus install guides together, and those guides give one shared table of seven light patterns. No separate table exists for the Plus, so we show the shared one and will update this page if Geotab changes it.
A GO10 Plus stuck on orange or a fast green flash usually comes down to placement, wiring or the ignition source, and our technicians sort that out on site in one trip. Ring 803-513-1009 or send the details through Get a Quote.
