The flat 9 wire cable is the low-profile one. Here is where that helps, how we route it, and what to ask Azuga about it first, because the shop says very little.

This is the flat version of the 9 wire extension cable. The shop describes it as 610 mm long, about 2 feet, for Datalogger systems, with a low profile that suits tight spaces. It was $7 and in stock on 2026-10-21. That is everything the shop says about it.
Azuga uses the word datalogger in at least one of its own help articles to mean the tracker in the vehicle. In the SafetyCam connection article, a blue light blinks while the camera searches for the datalogger. We read the shop text the same way, as a tracker in the vehicle. We have not verified that, and it does not tell us which tracker.
A flat cable earns its place where a round one will not go. That means behind a trim panel, under a door sill plate, between a dash pad and the steel behind it, or along a seam where the gap is only a few millimetres. The same flat shape that lets it slip into those spaces is also its weak point, and we treat it that way.
Tight gaps, trim edges, thin clearances behind panels and runs that have to stay hidden.
Sharp bends across the flat side, door hinges, anything that pinches or rubs and anywhere moisture can sit.
At 610 mm there is not much slack to waste. If you are close to the limit, a different mounting spot is better than a stretched cable.
Because the shop does not say what it plugs into, send Azuga these three things before you buy: the tracker serial number, the vehicle, and the photo of the connector you want to extend. Ask for the answer in writing so the order matches it.
Neither is better. They are listed at the same length and the same price. Choose flat for tight gaps and round for runs where it could be pinched or flexed. Azuga does not say they are electrically interchangeable, so do not swap them without asking.
We do not know. The hardwire extension cables for those trackers are separate parts with their own listings. This one is described only as a 9 wire cable for Datalogger systems.
It is a short passive cable at $7, so the price is modest. We still check that it is the right part, because a wrong cable costs a trip, not just $7.
