The HRN-EE06K3 is a Geotab Mercedes power harness kit that feeds battery, ignition and ground to a GO device in Mercedes trucks, and Geotab's guide for it covers the left-hand-drive Mercedes-Benz eActros from 2023 on.

The HRN-EE06K3 is Geotab's Mercedes power harness kit: a 100 cm (39.4 in) harness that supplies battery, ignition and ground to a GO device in Mercedes truck installs, giving a plug-in three-wire connection instead of splicing into the truck's wiring. Geotab's professional installation guide for this harness is written for the Mercedes-Benz eActros, manufacturer code MP6, from 2023 to the present, in left-hand-drive form.
Geotab's harness listing adds two details worth knowing before the install day. The ignition line carries an inline 20 kΩ resistor, and the harness uses Micro-Fit disconnect connectors. The same listing says the part is designed to work with the IOX-CLAMP for data retrieval, which tells you something important: this is a power harness, and engine data is gathered separately.
Geotab's install guide for this part names one vehicle: the Mercedes-Benz eActros MP6 (Gen. 5), produced from 2023 onward, left-hand drive. The kit plugs into connector X15 in the fuse panel, which sits at the bottom of the dash in the passenger footwell behind a plastic cover marked "OBD". A T-harness is included for trucks where X15 already has something plugged into it.
The guide pairs the HRN-EE06K3 with a GO9, an IOX-UREADER with CAN clamp and status LED, an SPR-INSTALLBAG for mounting, and an IOX-Null harness to link the UREADER to the GO device. The power pinout in that guide is red for live on pin 6, yellow for ignition on pin 2, and black for ground on pin 1. Geotab lists no superseded part and no maximum connected cable length, and shows Taiwan as the country of origin.
Geotab's eActros install does not run through a standard diagnostic port T-harness. Power has to come from somewhere else, and the HRN-EE06K3 takes it from a factory plug at X15, so nothing is spliced into an expensive truck's wiring.
That suits fleets that want every eActros fitted the same repeatable way. The T-branch also covers the case where X15 is already taken by another fitment.
Geotab classes this as a professional installation that calls for Certified Geotab Installer status or equivalent knowledge. Our technicians follow Geotab's eActros guide, which runs roughly in this order:
Geotab's general harness limits still stand: never more than 2 m (6.5 ft) of harness in total, never one T-harness into another, and the device always secured with cable ties.
| Spec | Detail |
|---|---|
| Part number | HRN-EE06K3 |
| Type | Mercedes power harness kit (three-wire, plug-in) |
| Length | 100 cm / 39.4 in |
| Vehicle in Geotab's guide | Mercedes-Benz eActros MP6, 2023 to present, left-hand drive |
| Vehicle connection | Connector X15, passenger footwell fuse panel; T-harness included if X15 is occupied |
| Pinout | Red live (pin 6), yellow ignition (pin 2), black ground (pin 1) |
| Built-in parts | Inline 20 kΩ resistor on the ignition line; Micro-Fit disconnect connectors |
| Fusing | No separate inline fuse; power is taken from an already fused location |
| Data | Listed as designed to work with IOX-CLAMP; Geotab's eActros guide uses the IOX-UREADER CAN clamp |
| Device in guide | GO9 |
| Country of origin | Taiwan |
Do not assume X15 is unused; check before routing and use the T-branch rather than unplugging an existing fitment. Meter every circuit before plugging in, even though the source is already fused. Mount the GO9 with the antenna side clear of metal, and respect the 20 cm gap to the driver that Geotab specifies. Geotab notes model variations may apply and that its guide reflects best practice when published, so our technicians check for the latest revision before each job. Geotab's guide covers left-hand-drive trucks only.
Geotab's professional installation guide for this harness covers the Mercedes-Benz eActros, manufacturer code MP6, built from 2023 onward in left-hand-drive form.
Geotab's eActros guide says no separate inline fuse is required because the harness takes power from a location the truck already fuses. The circuits are still checked with a multimeter first.
The power harness only supplies power, ignition and ground. In Geotab's eActros guide, CAN data comes through the IOX-UREADER's CAN clamp fitted at connector Z3X1, and Geotab's harness listing says the harness is designed to work with IOX-CLAMP.
