The HRN-CT06S1 is a Geotab harness that links a GO9 to a Tesla Model S or Model X built on or after September 17, 2015. It is also the harness packed inside the HRN-CT06K1 kit.

The HRN-CT06S1 is Geotab's custom harness for Tesla Model S and Model X cars dated September 17, 2015 or newer, and it works only with a GO9 device according to Geotab's listing. It replaces the plug-in OBD-II connection that these cars do not offer in the usual place, giving the GO9 a proper socket to sit on.
The detail most fleets miss is the device requirement. Many companies have moved new installs to the GO10, and a GO10 uses a different connector from the GO devices before it. On this Tesla harness, Geotab names the GO9, so that is the unit we put in the car.
Geotab's identification entry lists the Model S and the Model X with build dates from September 17, 2015 onward. The device line reads GO9. Published length is 30 cm (12 in), with no more than 2 m (6.5 ft) of harness allowed between car and device across the full run. China is the stated origin, and the entry lists no part replaced and no base harness required.
Geotab also sells this harness as the core of a kit. The HRN-CT06K1 contains the HRN-CT06S1 and is listed for a wider set of cars, adding the 2024 Model 3 redesign and 2022 and newer Plaid models. For a fleet with only older Model S or X cars, the single harness is the simpler order; for a mixed set of current Teslas, the kit is usually the cleaner choice.
On the other side of the build date, Model S cars from September 17, 2015 or older are matched to the HRN-CT06S2.
Executive cars and client-facing vehicles are where a Model S or Model X tends to show up in a commercial fleet. They are also the cars managers most want visibility on for insurance and asset records, and the ones a technician least wants to damage. A purpose-built harness lets us connect them with nothing cut and nothing spliced.
The GO9 point solves a planning problem too. When a customer orders a batch of GO10 units for every vehicle, we flag the Teslas before the shipment, so the right device is on hand and the install day is not wasted.
Model S and Model X interiors differ from the Model 3, so our technicians locate the vehicle connector on the car in front of them before removing trim. The general flow follows Geotab practice:
Geotab caps a combined harness run at 2 m (6.5 ft) and does not permit one T-harness to plug into another.

Do not pull a GO10 from stock for this car; the listing is GO9, and the connectors are not the same. Geotab gives the same calendar day as the boundary for both this harness and the HRN-CT06S2, so a Model S built close to September 17, 2015 deserves a look at the actual connector before anyone commits to a part. Model X doors and trim are expensive to replace, so keep tools plastic. Finally, a harness that is not fully latched can still power the GO9 yet drop data, so tug-test the joint before closing panels.
Geotab names the GO9 as the device this harness needs, so these cars get a GO9. It reports into the same MyGeotab database as the GO10 units, so the Tesla still appears alongside the rest of the fleet.
Yes. Geotab lists it for both the Model S and the Model X from September 17, 2015 onward.
Yes. Geotab states that the HRN-CT06K1 kit contains the HRN-CT06S1, and the kit listing extends coverage to the 2024 Model 3 redesign and 2022 and newer Plaid cars.
When a mixed order lands, we sort out which vehicles get a GO9 and which get a GO10, then supply and fit the lot on site at the customer's yard. That judgement comes from 35 years of twelve-volt work. Speak to us on 803-513-1009, or start online with Get a Quote.
