The status lights, the spoken alerts and the install checks for the Pro, with Azuga's own contradictions flagged.
This is the technical sheet for the SafetyCam Pro. It covers the status lights, the spoken alerts, the portal statuses, the aiming rules and the mandatory button check. Where Azuga contradicts itself we say so.
Azuga contradicts itself about solid blue
The current Azuga guide for the Plus and Pro says blue flashing every 15 seconds is normal, and solid blue means no network. An older Azuga article says the opposite: blue blinks while the camera searches for the datalogger and goes solid once it is connected, and it mentions three lights. Do not decide from the blue light alone. Check that the camera shows Online in the portal.
Tap a light pattern to see it
Each button plays the pattern on the device above and says out loud what it means.
Unlike the trackers, the camera talks. Azuga documents over-the-air update prompts at power-up, and spoken alerts while driving. These are the road and vehicle alerts from Azuga's event list. The driver-facing alerts are on the Plus technical page. The list is the same for both cameras.
Your browser reads the phrase out loud. It is not the camera's own voice, so tone and volume will differ. Azuga says in-cab voice alerts are on by default and customers can change them. Phrases are from Azuga's Next-Gen SafetyCam events article.
Azuga lists no spoken phrase for Camera Tampered, Device Unplugged, hard braking or sudden acceleration. It documents no beep patterns for this camera. At power-up the camera plays over-the-air update prompts.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Online | The camera is ready to stream. |
| Standby | Connectivity is good, but the camera is asleep. |
| Offline | The camera is disconnected. |
| No Status | There is no data at all. Think failed install, poor network, power loss, or a camera that never connected. |
Azuga is firm about this: do not stick the camera down until both angles are set in live view. Use the app if you can.
Azuga calls this the final step. Press the emergency button. The camera must create a Button Pressed event, and the video should upload within 10 minutes. Misaligned lenses stop events from triggering, so aim is checked separately on live view before this button test.
