The four documented light patterns, played on a drawing, plus the harness wires and portal steps.
This is the technical sheet for the GV620MG. It covers the lights, the wiring, the mounting order, the specs and the portal steps. Use it next to Azuga's own guide, not instead of it.
Colors are unconfirmed
Azuga names three lights, CEL, GPS and POWER, and describes patterns, but never gives their colors. A ServiceTitan copy of the install guide for a rechargeable tracker in the same family says the cell light is green, the GPS light is blue and the power light is red. That is a third party, and it does not name the exact model. We use those colors in the drawing and mark them unconfirmed. Slow and fast flash timing is also not published, so our timing is approximate.
Tap a light pattern to see it
Each button plays the pattern on the device above and says out loud what it means.
🔇 Azuga does not mention a buzzer or a button on the GV620MG.
That is silence, not a statement of no sound. We treat it as silent in the field.
Azuga's GV620MG guides name only four wires. The full 18-wire list below comes from Azuga's article for the older GV600 family, which describes the same harness. Azuga says it supports only red and black. For anything else, Azuga says to contact customercare@azuga.com. For dual-color wires, the first color is the primary.
| Pin | Color | Function |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Red | Primary power, 8 to 32 V. Connect to constant +12 or +24 V. |
| 2 | Red/Green | Secondary power, 8 to 32 V (the source spells the label RWR2) |
| 3 | Black | Primary analog ground. Chassis ground. |
| 4 | Black | Secondary analog ground |
| 5 | White | Ignition detect, positive trigger |
| 6 | Green | Analog input, 0 to 32 V |
| 7 | Red/White | Accessory power out, 400 mA max |
| 8 | Black/White | Accessory ground |
| 9 | Gray | 1-Wire temperature sensor input |
| 10 | None | Not connected |
| 11 to 14 | Blue, Yellow, Brown, Orange | Negative trigger input or open-drain output, 150 mA max each |
| 15, 16 | Purple, Purple/White | RS-232 receive and transmit |
| 17, 18 | Pink, White/Black | TTL receive and transmit |
The ignition wire matters
Azuga says to put the white wire on a circuit that is live only while the asset operates. Put it on an always-live circuit and the engine hours will be wrong.
Azuga does not state an activation duration. A ServiceTitan copy of the guide says a GPS ping can take several hours to appear on the Live map. Plan for that before you call it a failure.
Walk the asset first. Find a stable surface with a clear view of the sky where the lights can be seen. Find the asset's constant power and, if you want engine hours, a circuit that is live only when the asset runs. Meter both. Azuga's guide says to connect red to constant power from 8 to 32 V and white to the ignition source, so prove those wires before the tracker is bolted on. Leave the unused harness wires alone and insulate their ends, since Azuga supports only the red and black wires and points you to customer care for the rest.
