The HRN-CH06A2 is Geotab's proprietary Hino adapter for 200 to 500 series trucks from 2014 to 2018, connecting a GO device through the factory GPS connector beside the fuse box. It requires the HRN-CM24Y1-A.

The HRN-CH06A2 is a custom Geotab adapter made for Hino 200 to 500 series trucks built from 2014 through 2018, letting a GO device draw its connection from a factory plug Hino provides for GPS equipment. It is 30 cm (12 in) long and works only together with the HRN-CM24Y1-A base harness.
Hino cabs from these years do not leave the installer much choice. Rather than chasing a port under the steering column, Geotab's procedure sends you to a dedicated connector behind the passenger-side dash. The adapter is shaped for that plug, and the base harness turns it into a standard GO device connection. Together they give a factory-style install that a Hino technician will recognise and leave alone.
Geotab's harness listing gives the fit as Hino 200 to 500 series vehicles from 2014 to 2018. Its matching install guide is titled for 2016 to 2018 Hino trucks, so when a fleet brings us a 2014 or 2015 unit we confirm the connector in the cab before we commit parts. Newer Hinos, and the 100 series, move to the HRN-CH10A2.
The device connection always comes through the HRN-CM24Y1-A, which Geotab requires for this adapter. The guide refers to a GO device without naming one generation, so we match the device to the fleet's current hardware at quote time. The listing does not name any earlier part this adapter replaced.
Medium-duty Hinos are common in box truck, delivery and service fleets, and they are often the vehicles that get added to a telematics program after the pickups and vans. Installers who treat them like any other truck end up hunting for a usable data point and improvising. The CH06A2 settles the question with a plug-in connection that Hino anticipated.
It also helps with tidiness and tamper resistance. The device mounts on a factory dash bracket above the fuse box, hidden behind panels, instead of hanging where a driver's boot can catch it. Fewer knocks mean fewer disconnects and fewer "truck not reporting" calls to the fleet office.
This sequence follows Geotab's 2016 to 2018 Hino guide for the HRN-CM24Y1 and HRN-CH06A2 pair:
Geotab's limits still apply: all connected harnesses together must not pass 2 m (6.5 ft), and a T-harness never plugs into another T-harness.

The blue connector is easy to miss if only the lower panel comes off, so take the upper panel out as well and work with a light. Make both base harness connections, J1939 and 6-pin, because skipping one is a quick way to lose data. The GPS antenna is on the underside of the GO device, so mount it with that side toward the sky, not facing the bracket. Keep the routed lead away from the glovebox hinge and any heater ducting before the panels go back.
Geotab lists it for Hino 200 to 500 series vehicles from 2014 to 2018. Its install guide is written around 2016 to 2018 trucks, so we look at the cab of earlier units before ordering.
Geotab's guide points to a blue 8-pin GPS connector at the back left of the fuse box, reached by taking off the lower and upper passenger-side dash panels.
No. It needs the HRN-CM24Y1-A, and Geotab's guide has both the J1939 and the 6-pin OBD-II connections made between the two harnesses.
