Fort Mill grew from 24,529 residents at the 2020 census to an estimated 36,244 by July 2024, and every one of those new rooftops adds miles to the Town fleet. We install GPS tracking, dash and backup cameras, and telematics hardware in the patrol cars, engines, garbage trucks and utility vehicles that keep Fort Mill running.
Fort Mill Police Department. The department reports 81 sworn officers and 13 civilian staff, and it moved into the remodeled Town Hall at 205 N. White Street in April 2025. We mount cameras and GPS units clear of radios, light controllers and computer mounts.
Fort Mill Fire Department. The department improved its ISO Public Protection Classification to Class 2, up from Class 4. It runs Station 1 on Tom Hall Street and Station 2 on Fort Mill Parkway, and Town Council broke ground in August 2026 on Station 3 at Masons Bend, expected to open in fall 2027. We install on ladder trucks, engines, command vehicles and specialty response units without disturbing the apparatus wiring the department depends on.
Public Works. The Town runs four trucks on each collection day, one each for trash, recycling, bulk items and lawn debris, plus a vacuum leaf truck from mid October through mid March. GPS proves when a street was serviced, and backup cameras protect crews behind the truck.
Utilities and Stormwater. Town Utilities maintains water distribution mains and sewer collection lines serving more than 8,000 sewer customers, with staff on call around the clock. Stormwater operates as its own Town department.
Parks & Recreation, Planning, and Building & Codes. Parks maintains sites including Banks Athletic Park, Calhoun Street Park and Doby Bridge Park, and Town Council has approved buying about 50 acres off River Crossing Drive for future park needs. Planning and Building & Codes inspectors benefit from automatic mileage and visit logs.
Every major platform, installed on site for Fort Mill fleets.
Live location, trip history, idle time and engine diagnostics for every Town vehicle. When a crew is stuck in the SC 160 backup at I-77 or working along Fort Mill Parkway, supervisors can see it and send the next closest unit instead of guessing.

Forward and cab facing dash cameras for patrol and staff vehicles, and backup and side cameras for garbage, leaf and utility trucks. Footage helps settle claims from tight downtown streets like Main Street and Spratt Street, where large trucks share narrow lanes with pedestrians and parked cars.

We are a Geotab authorized installer, and we install Samsara, Motive, Verizon Connect, Lytx, Netradyne, Powerfleet and CalAmp just as often. We also offer equipment along with installation, so departments can source hardware and labor from one place if that suits their purchasing process.
Fort Mill grew about 48 percent between 2020 and July 2024, and the fire department is building a third station to keep pace. We plan installs so new vehicles match the rest of the fleet in hardware placement and reporting.
I-77 runs through the western side of town, with Exit 85 signed for SC 160 and Fort Mill. A 2019 county study counted about 29,200 vehicles a day in the SC 160 and I-77 area, and SCDOT is now widening SC 160 and rebuilding that interchange near Baxter Village and Kingsley. Carowinds sits on the state line with part of the park inside Fort Mill. GPS data gives supervisors real route times through that congestion.
Collection trucks, leaf trucks and on call utility trucks cannot sit idle for a day. We schedule installs around route days and shift changes, work in Town yards when that is easier, and stagger vehicles so no department loses coverage.
Ambulance service in Fort Mill is not a Town department. York County contracts for 911 ambulance response, and Atrium Health acquired Fort Mill EMS in 2025, with Piedmont Medical Center EMS also serving the county. The Fort Mill School District is a separate public body as well. This page covers Town of Fort Mill vehicles only, though we are glad to talk with those agencies separately.
We cover Fort Mill and the surrounding York County and Charlotte border communities from our South Carolina base, with installs done on site at Town facilities.
Police, Fire, Public Works, Utilities, Stormwater, Parks & Recreation, Planning and Building & Codes.
The ISO rating reflects staffing, training, water supply and response capability, not tracking hardware. Our job is to install cleanly so apparatus stays in service and nothing interferes with existing equipment.
No. We schedule around collection days and shift changes, and we work vehicle by vehicle so routes stay covered.
No. We are a Geotab authorized installer, and we also install Samsara, Motive, Verizon Connect, Lytx, Netradyne, Powerfleet, CalAmp and other major platforms.
Ambulances are run by county contracted providers, not the Town, so they fall outside this page. Those providers can contact us directly.
