We install vehicle GPS tracking, dash cams, backup cameras and telematics on City of Panama City and Bay County fleets, from Environmental Services garbage trucks and debris loaders to police F-150s and fire apparatus, working at city yards, fire stations and county facilities.
Panama City is a city of 37,806 people on 35.10 square miles, by the Census Bureau's July 2025 estimate, and it runs most of its own services. The city's 2026 budget carries an internal Equipment Maintenance Fund for its vehicles and equipment, alongside a Utilities Fund, an Environmental Services fund for solid waste and a Marinas Fund.
Garbage is a city job here. Environmental Services gives every home and business one blue 96 gallon roll-out cart, starts garbage routes at 5:00 in the morning and yard waste at 6:00, and picks up yard waste weekly. Those are early, fixed routes, the kind where a GPS record of every stop answers the missed pickup call before it turns into a complaint.
Public safety has its own fleet story. The Police Department's Patrol Division has about 65 officers, backed by marine, traffic, K-9, bike, SWAT and unmanned aircraft teams. Its Fleet Division inspects every marked, unmarked and specialty vehicle monthly, added electric motorcycles for quiet and trail patrols in early 2023, and later that year added seven Ford F-150s picked for high water. The Fire Department has 86 full-time members across five stations, with four engines, a 100 foot aerial platform, a 78 foot aerial ladder and a light rescue, and its 2026 to 2031 plan proposes new stations and a training facility in Panama City North.
Bay County covers 764 square miles around the city and runs its own fleet facility for emergency services vehicles and fire apparatus.
Every major telematics and dash cam platform, fitted at city yards, fire stations and Bay County facilities.
GPS fleet tracking on garbage trucks, debris loaders, pickups and heavy equipment, plus battery trackers on trailers, pumps and generators.
Dash cam installation on public works and solid waste trucks, and backup camera installation on units that reverse on residential streets at 5 a.m.
Samsara, Motive, Geotab, Verizon Connect, Lytx, Netradyne, Zonar and more, with boom and PTO inputs on loaders and refuse trucks.
Because a reimbursement is only as good as the record behind it. After Hurricane Michael, FEMA approved $48,827,629 for the city's debris removal, covering 1,190,800 cubic yards of vegetative debris and 1,105,132 cubic yards of construction and demolition debris, and Bay County reports spending almost $307 million on recovery and hardening. A boom input and GPS on each loader shows the streets it worked and when it reached the dump site, on top of the load tickets.
It helps with the numbers behind it. The fire department's 2026 to 2031 plan lists outdated apparatus as a weakness. Engine hours, pump time where it can be wired and miles per unit give the replacement plan usage data to rank each engine and ladder, and AVL shows dispatch where each one is.
Mostly care with placement. The F-150s were chosen to work in high water, so we mount GPS units high in the cab and away from the floor, and we keep our wiring off the synchronized emergency lighting and spotlight controls the department specified.
We install for the county too. Its updated vehicle use policy, last revised in August 2025, keeps county business in county vehicles, which makes accurate trip records for each unit more useful. We fit them at the county fleet facility or at department sites.
City yards and fire stations, and Bay County facilities across the county.
City yard, station or county facility: we install where the vehicles are already parked or serviced.
From the vehicle list. Pickups and patrol trucks are quick, while garbage trucks with backup cameras and debris loaders with boom inputs take longer, so each type gets its own line.
Yes. We plan installs on loaders and dump trucks in the off season so they are reporting before the first storm.
Yes. We install after routes finish or on the trucks' off days, so the morning routes run as normal.
Samsara, Motive, Geotab, Verizon Connect, Lytx, Netradyne, Zonar, Azuga and other platforms. We are an independent Geotab Authorized Installer and fit the system the city has chosen.
Yes. We install AVL and GPS units on engines and ladders and keep our wiring separate from the apparatus electrical system.
Tell us the department, the vehicle types and how many, and we will come back with a plan that has them reporting before storm season.
