Goose Creek grew from 45,946 residents at the 2020 census to an estimated 50,248 by 2024, and the city's vehicles are covering more ground every year to keep up. We install GPS trackers, dash cameras and telematics hardware on patrol units, fire apparatus, sanitation trucks and maintenance pickups, working around shift changes so vehicles stay in service. We offer equipment along with installation, or we install the hardware the city has already purchased.
Goose Creek Police Department. The department had 91 authorized sworn officers and 126 full time staff in 2024, organized into Field Services, Support Services and Administrative Services. Officers handled 66,255 calls for service that year. Patrol cars and the marked animal control pickups both benefit from location data and recorded video.
Goose Creek Fire Department. Founded by volunteers in 1963 and a full career department since 1981, the department now carries an ISO Class 2 rating. It runs three staffed stations at Button Hall, Crowfield and Mount Holly, with a fourth under construction in the Carnes Crossroads area. The department was the first in South Carolina to provide fire based Advanced Life Support ambulance transport, starting in 1986.
Public Works. Based at 200 Button Hall Avenue, Public Works includes Garage, Maintenance, Sanitation and Water divisions. The Garage Division repairs and maintains city vehicles, heavy equipment and small engines, which makes engine hours and fault code data from telematics directly useful to the people turning the wrenches.
Recreation. The city operates 15 parks plus the Felkel Field Sports Complex on Lucy Drive, along with trails, a pool and tennis courts. Maintenance trucks moving between parks are good candidates for simple trip tracking.
Planning, Building Inspection and Golf. Inspectors visiting job sites across new subdivisions, and the city owned Crowfield Golf Club, round out the departments that put vehicles on the road.
Every major platform, installed on site for Goose Creek fleets.
A tracker shows dispatch which unit is closest when a call comes in off Red Bank Road or St. James Avenue. For Public Works, trip history confirms when a sanitation route was completed. We hardwire units so they cannot be unplugged and verify each one reports before we leave.

Goose Creek Boulevard, which is US 52, carries commuter traffic, heavy trucks and base traffic all day. Forward facing cameras give the city a record when a city vehicle is involved in a collision. Sanitation trucks backing down residential streets get backup cameras wired to reverse so they activate every time.

We install Samsara, Motive, Geotab, Verizon Connect, Lytx, Netradyne, Powerfleet and CalAmp. As a Geotab authorized installer among the many brands we work with, we can connect engine data into whatever platform the city already uses, or help a department pick one if it is starting fresh.
Fire apparatus and patrol units already carry radios, lighting, sirens and mobile data equipment. We plan every install around that existing wiring, keep our power draw off critical circuits, and schedule work by station so no engine or medic unit is out of service during a shift.
St. James Avenue (US 176) meets Goose Creek Boulevard (US 52) at an angled intersection, with Red Bank Road continuing east. City vehicles moving between Button Hall and neighborhoods on either side of US 52 pass through it constantly. Location history around this junction helps departments see how much time units actually spend getting through it.
Most of the Naval Support Activity Charleston portion of Joint Base Charleston sits inside Goose Creek, and its visitor control center is on Red Bank Road. Add the growth around Carnes Crossroads and a joint police and fire training facility now in design, with groundbreaking estimated for 2027, and city vehicles will keep stretching their routes. Fleet data gives department heads real numbers for budget planning.
Some public vehicles in Goose Creek do not belong to the city. Berkeley County EMS runs its own countywide medic units from Moncks Corner, Goose Creek Rural Fire Department covers unincorporated areas around the city, and Berkeley County Water and Sanitation is a county utility rather than a city department. The city lists Medic 2 at Mount Holly as operated by Primetime Ambulance.
We cover Goose Creek and the surrounding Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester County communities. Installs happen at your station, yard or city garage.
Yes. We schedule by station and shift, work one or two vehicles at a time, and coordinate with the duty supervisor so coverage is never short.
We map the existing upfit wiring first and keep our hardware on separate, fused circuits so it does not disrupt emergency equipment.
Yes. Police might run one platform while Public Works runs another. We install all major brands and can keep each department on the system it prefers.
