F-250, F-350 and F-450 pickups and F-350 to F-550 chassis cabs. Key or push-button start. 6.2L, new 7.3L gas and 6.7L diesel.
On a 2020 Ford Super Duty, take constant power from the Violet/Red wire at the BCM black 22-pin plug G, pin 22 and ignition from the Green/Orange wire at the customer access pigtail behind the passenger kick panel, pin 2, and ground to clean, bare body metal. Meter every wire first.
Written by API Signal, fleet GPS and camera installers for 35+ years across Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, installing every major telematics and camera brand. Every wire on this page lists its source.
No wiring information is ever guaranteed. Colors and locations change with trim, options and build date, and the manufacturer can change them in the middle of a model year. We share this as a starting point for installers, and you are responsible for confirming every connection on the truck in front of you.
This page covers the 2020 Ford Super Duty, the refresh year that brought the 7.3L gas V8, a gateway module at the OBD port and a new upfitter interface module. It covers the pickups and the F-350 to F-550 chassis cabs.
The body wire colors come from installer tables for a 2020 F-250 and a 2020 F-350, which agree and were re-checked at the source. The customer access wires come from Ford's 2017 to 2019 bulletin, and owners report the same pigtail on 2020 trucks. Our own team has not yet metered these on a 2020 truck, and each row says so.
We send fleet installation work to independent installers. One job goes to one installer. Now adding network partners in North Carolina.
Take constant, ignition and ground from the same area. On this truck the passenger kick panel has the body computer's constant feed and Ford's own run/start wire for upfitters, on key and push-button trucks alike.
