Road work is billed and audited by the mile. We wire the brooms, paint guns, spray bars and removal heads into the tracker on sweepers and road crew trucks, so the platform shows exactly where the work was done.
Fleet installs from $65 per vehicle. Testing a few vehicles first? We do pilot installs too.
Each picture shows the part that gets wired into the tracker, circled in red. These are illustrations, not photos of customer trucks. The sections below explain how each one is monitored.
A sweeper's main broom and pickup run from an auxiliary engine or a hydraulic drive. That on signal, recorded with location, shows sweeping time street by street. Cities use it for sweep schedules and complaints, and contractors for billing parking lot and street work.
Yes. Gutter brooms have their own down and run control. On its own input, the platform shows where the gutters were swept, separately from the main broom.
A striper lays paint through guns switched from the operator's console. The gun on signal shows where paint went down. Striping contractors use it to back up footage on invoices.
The spray bar on a distributor is switched from the rear or cab controls. Its on signal records where tack or emulsion was sprayed, section by section.
Stripe removal heads, water blasting or grinding, run from the truck's PTO or an auxiliary engine. That signal records removal time and where it happened.
Yes. The water pump runs from the PTO, and the spray valves are switched from the cab. The pump or valve signal shows where water went down, which matters for dust control on job sites and haul roads.
We meter every signal before we use it, so the tracker records the equipment actually working, not a switch that was only requested. Power connections are fused, wiring is secured away from heat and moving parts, and each input is tested with the equipment running before the truck goes back out. Wire colors for the truck side are in our Vehicle Wiring Database. See all the equipment we monitor for the other trucks and equipment we wire in.
Every major tracking platform can record broom, spray and paint signals, and we wire them into all of them. Need heavy duty trackers for trucks or heavy equipment? Every brand below makes them, so pick yours and we install it.
