A service truck carries a shop's worth of equipment, and each machine has its own hours and its own service schedule. We wire the compressor, welder, generator and other body equipment into the tracker, so run hours are recorded machine by machine, job by job.
Fleet installs from $65 per vehicle. Testing a few vehicles first? We do pilot installs too.
Each picture shows the part that gets wired into the tracker, circled in red. These are illustrations, not photos of customer trucks. The sections below explain how each one is monitored.
A hydraulic power unit runs breakers, saws and impact tools off the truck's hydraulics, usually from the PTO. The PTO signal records tool time at each job.
Yes. A generator driven from the PTO, or one with its own engine, has a run signal that can go to a tracker input. That gives generator hours for service and for billing power on site.
Compressors are PTO driven, engine driven or electric. Each has a run signal, and on the tracker it records compressor time on each job.
Yes. A welder generator's run signal records welding hours at each site, for service and job costing.
An auxiliary engine has its own ignition or oil pressure circuit. Wired to a tracker input, it records hours on that engine separately from the truck's.
Many service bodies have a master switch for tool power. Wired in, it shows when tools were powered at each stop.
Yes. A truck-mounted puller runs from the PTO or hydraulics, and its signal records pulling time on utility and telecom jobs.
We meter every signal before we use it, so the tracker records the equipment actually working, not a switch that was only requested. Power connections are fused, wiring is secured away from heat and moving parts, and each input is tested with the equipment running before the truck goes back out. Wire colors for the truck side are in our Vehicle Wiring Database. See all the equipment we monitor for the other trucks and equipment we wire in.
Every major tracking platform has inputs for service body equipment, and we wire them into all of them. Need heavy duty trackers for trucks or heavy equipment? Every brand below makes them, so pick yours and we install it.
Common questions
Yes. Each machine's run signal can go to its own tracker input.
It depends on the device's inputs. Many trackers have several, and expansion modules add more. We check before the job.
Yes. We trace what is already wired before we add anything.
