For public safety vehicles, location is only half the record. We wire lights, siren, panic button, gun lock and K9 temperature into the tracker, so the platform shows what the unit was doing, not just where it was.
Fleet installs from $65 per vehicle. Testing a few vehicles first? We do pilot installs too.
Each picture shows the part that gets wired into the tracker, circled in red. These are illustrations, not photos of customer trucks. The sections below explain how each one is monitored.
The light bar controller has an on output. Wired to the tracker, it records when lights were on, with speed and location, which is used for pursuit reviews and incident reports.
Yes. The siren controller's output goes to its own input, so siren use is logged alongside the lights.
A hidden button wired to a tracker input sends an alert with the vehicle's location the moment it is pressed. It suits code enforcement, security and any driver working alone.
Yes. Electronic weapon locks have a release signal. Wired in, it records when the lock was released, with the time and place.
A temperature sensor in the kennel area reports to the tracker, and the platform alerts when it gets too hot or too cold. It works alongside the heat alarm many K9 units already have.
On work trucks the amber beacon goes on at work zones. Its on signal records time at each work zone, for public works and utility crews.
We meter every signal before we use it, so the tracker records the equipment actually working, not a switch that was only requested. Power connections are fused, wiring is secured away from heat and moving parts, and each input is tested with the equipment running before the truck goes back out. Wire colors for the truck side are in our Vehicle Wiring Database. See all the equipment we monitor for the other trucks and equipment we wire in.
Public safety fleets run on many of these platforms, and we wire them all. Need heavy duty trackers for trucks or heavy equipment? Every brand below makes them, so pick yours and we install it.
