We install vehicle GPS tracking, dash cams, backup cameras and telematics on City of Melbourne and Brevard County fleets, from water distribution crane trucks and streets and stormwater dump trucks to patrol units and fire apparatus, working at your yard, plant or station anywhere in Brevard County.
Melbourne's water utility reaches well past the city line. Its two plants, the John A. Buckley surface water plant on Lake Washington and the Joe Mullins reverse osmosis plant, are permitted for 25 million gallons a day and serve about 168,000 people in Melbourne, Melbourne Beach, Indialantic, Indian Harbour Beach, Satellite Beach, Palm Shores, Melbourne Village and unincorporated Brevard south of the Pineda Causeway, with wholesale water to West Melbourne. The Water and Sewer Fund for 2025 to 2026 is $78.9 million. That is a lot of pipe, and a lot of trucks to maintain it.
Public safety is the next largest group. Melbourne Police has 176 sworn officers and 72 civilian staff, with K-9, traffic, SWAT, dive rescue and marine patrol units, and the adopted budget funds 16 replacement patrol vehicles and five new investigative vehicles. Melbourne Fire staffs eight stations and answered 18,362 incidents in 2025, about 50 calls a day. In July 2026 the council approved buying land to replace Fire Station 72, built in 1966.
Streets and Stormwater is getting new heavy trucks too. A $400,000 state grant from the Volkswagen diesel settlement is paying for two Class 8 dump trucks to replace 2006 models that haul sweeper waste and ditch debris. Fleet Management itself sits in the General Fund, and residential garbage is collected by a contracted hauler rather than city crews.
Every major telematics and dash cam platform, fitted at a city yard, a treatment plant or a fire station.
GPS fleet tracking on crane and service trucks, dump trucks, pickups and sedans, plus battery trackers on pumps, generators and trailers.
Road-facing and driver-facing AI dash cams, and backup camera installation on water and streets trucks backing into dig sites and ditches.
Samsara, Motive, Geotab, Verizon Connect, Lytx, Netradyne, Zonar and more, with PTO and crane inputs and AVL for dispatch where needed.
A clear record of who was where and for how long. On November 2, 2026, a major break on Port Malabar Boulevard NE led to a precautionary boil water notice across the Melbourne system, West Melbourne and part of Palm Bay. On a day like that, live fleet tracking shows dispatch which crane and service trucks are closest, and the trip history shows the time each crew spent at each site.
Because a parked truck and a working truck look the same on a map. A PTO input and a crane input tell the platform when the equipment was actually running, which separates real repair time from waiting time and gives the utility honest numbers for staffing and overtime.
Yes, and that is the cheapest time. New trucks come in clean, so a GPS unit, a dash cam and a backup camera can go in before the truck starts hauling sweeper waste and ditch debris, instead of pulling it out of service later.
We work with them as well. The Brevard County Sheriff's Office runs a fleet of more than 1,000 vehicles, vessels and aircraft for 916 sworn employees, and Space Coast Area Transit reported 149 revenue vehicles in 2024 across more than 1,000 square miles. On patrol units we fit AVL and GPS hardware on its own circuit, away from lighting and siren wiring.
City yards and plants, fire stations, and the communities on the Melbourne water system.
Yard, plant, station or county site: we install where the vehicles are parked or serviced.
Per vehicle, once we know the truck types and the platform. Crane and PTO inputs on utility trucks add wiring time, so those units are quoted separately from pickups and sedans.
Yes. We fit GPS units, dash cams and backup cameras on crane and service-body trucks and wire PTO and crane inputs where the platform supports them.
Yes. We can fit vehicles where they are parked at a plant or yard, following the site's access and safety rules.
Samsara, Motive, Geotab, Verizon Connect, Lytx, Netradyne, Zonar, Azuga and the rest of the major platforms. We are an independent Geotab Authorized Installer and fit whatever system the city runs.
It helps dispatch. Live vehicle location shows which crews are nearest a break or a flushing point, and trip history records where each truck worked.
