Cars, pickup trucks and work vans make up most of the vehicles in most fleets, and they are where a tracking system either earns its keep or quietly stops reporting. We install GPS tracking devices on light duty vehicles across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi, out of sight, secured, and checked against your platform before we leave.
Fleet installs from $65 per vehicle. Testing a few vehicles first? We do pilot installs too.

Light duty covers the everyday fleet vehicles: sedans and SUVs, half-ton and three-quarter-ton pickups, and cargo and passenger vans, including the high-roof vans used by plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs and delivery crews. If it has a standard OBD2 diagnostic port under the dash, it is almost always light duty. Box trucks and larger service bodies are covered on our medium duty work, and semis on our heavy duty work, because the ports and wiring are different.
There are two ways, and which one is right depends on the vehicle and on why you are tracking it.
Wire colors and port locations for specific vehicles are in our Vehicle Wiring Database.
Behind the dash, out of sight and out of reach of a driver's knee, but not buried under metal. A GPS antenna needs a view of the sky through glass or plastic. Put a device under a steel brace or behind a metal panel and it still powers up, but it reports positions that jump around or drop out, and the fleet blames the platform.
Vans with shelving, ladder racks and partitions need a little more thought, because upfit equipment often sits right where a device would otherwise go.
Where every vehicle is, live on a map, and where it has been. Speeding, harsh braking, idling time, after-hours use and mileage for service schedules. On most platforms, engine fault codes too, so a check-engine light shows up in the office before the driver mentions it. Real-time tracking runs over the cellular network, so it carries a monthly plan from the tracking provider.
Most light duty fleets add a dash cam at the same visit, which saves a second trip. See all the vehicles we track for the rest of the fleet.
Already on a tracking platform, or still choosing one? We install all of these on cars, pickups and vans. Need heavy duty trackers for trucks or heavy equipment? Every brand below makes them, so pick yours and we install it.
Common questions
It connects there, but we use a Y-split harness and tuck the device up behind the dash and secure it, so it stays connected and the port stays free for service.
It depends on the fleet. Hardwiring keeps the device out of a driver's reach. OBD2 reads more engine data with less wiring. We recommend the right one for your vehicles before the job.
Most light duty installs take well under an hour per vehicle, and we test each one against your platform before we leave.
Yes. Upfitted vans take a little more planning, because shelving and partitions often sit where a device would go.
