What Are the Requirements to Join a Fleet Installer Network?

No minimum size and no certification hoops. Here is what we ask on the form, and what actually gets a shop called first.

What experience does a fleet GPS installer need?

There is no minimum size and no minimum years. We need to know where you cover, what you install, which vehicle types you handle and which brands you have worked with.

The signup form asks for more than a phone number because a lead that does not match what you actually do wastes both our time. The more accurate it is, the better the jobs you get called about.

  • Where you cover. States, and the cities inside them. Pick the ones you will really drive to, not the ones you wish you covered.
  • What you install. GPS and telematics, dash cameras, multi-camera systems, ELD, asset trackers, sensors, removals, troubleshooting.
  • Vehicle types. Light duty, vans and box trucks, tractor-trailers, heavy equipment, buses, EV.
  • Brands you have worked with. Geotab, Samsara, Motive, Lytx, Netradyne, Verizon Connect, CalAmp, Xirgo and the rest.
  • How fast you can schedule and how many vehicles you can turn in a day.

What gets an install company called first?

General liability insurance and a W-9 ready to send, answering the phone, clean install documentation, and short-notice or weekend availability.

  • General liability insurance, and the certificate ready to send.
  • A W-9 you can produce the same day.
  • Answering the phone. It sounds obvious. It is the single biggest difference between shops that get repeat leads and shops that get one.
  • Clean documentation — photos of the install, serial numbers, device reporting before you leave the vehicle.
  • Weekend or short-notice availability, if you have it. Fleet work does not always happen Tuesday at 10am.

No minimum size. A one-truck operation that answers the phone and does clean work beats a ten-truck shop that does not. Crew size is on the form so we know what to send you, not to filter you out.

What is required on the installer signup form?

Only company, contact name, phone, email, home base and at least one state. Everything else can be filled in later or over the phone.
