Which wires give constant, ignition and ground on a 2022 Ford E-Series Cutaway?

On a 2022 Ford E-Series Cutaway, take constant power from the Red wire at the dash fuse box (BCM), black 22-pin plug J7-G, pin 22, ignition from the White/Orange wire at the ignition switch, black 7-pin plug, pin 1, and ground to the Black/Blue wire at the gateway module harness at the OBD port, black 24-pin, pin 14. Meter every wire first.

Written by API Signal, fleet GPS and camera installers for 35+ years across Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, installing every major telematics and camera brand. Every wire on this page lists its source.

Test every wire with a meter before you tap it

No wiring information is ever guaranteed. Colors and locations change with trim, options and build date, and the manufacturer can change them in the middle of a model year. We share this as a starting point for installers, and you are responsible for confirming every connection on the truck in front of you.

This page covers the 2022 Ford E-Series cutaway and stripped chassis (E-350 and E-450). The 2021 update brought a new instrument cluster, the 7.3L V8 and new wiring, so 2018 and older colors at the dash do not carry over.

The dash and ignition wires come from an installer sheet for a 2021 to 2022 E-350, and Ford's 2022 spec sheet confirms the trailer colors. Our own team has not yet metered these on a 2022 truck, and each row says so.

Where do I get constant, ignition and ground on a 2022 Ford E-Series Cutaway?

Take constant, ignition and ground from the same area. The 2021 update changed the E-Series wiring, so older E-Series colors at the dash and ignition switch do not carry over.
