Which wires give constant, ignition and ground on a 2020 Ford Expedition?
On a 2020 Ford Expedition, take constant power from the Green/Red wire at the gateway plug on the back of the OBD port, black 24-pin (C2431), pin 24, and ground to the Black/Purple wire at the gateway plug, black 24-pin (C2431), pin 14. Meter every wire first.
Written by API Signal, fleet GPS and camera installers for 35+ years across Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, installing every major telematics and camera brand. Every wire on this page lists its source.
Test every wire with a meter before you tap it
No wiring information is ever guaranteed. Colors and locations change with trim, options and build date, and the manufacturer can change them in the middle of a model year. We share this as a starting point for installers, and you are responsible for confirming every connection on the truck in front of you.
This page covers the 2020 Ford Expedition, including the long-wheelbase Expedition MAX and the SSV special service truck.
This truck came with a key or push-button start. The OBD port sits on a gateway module, and the only wire sources for these years cover the gateway plug, so most circuits show Not found. Our own team has not yet metered these on a 2020 truck.

The fuse panel was renumbered for 2020, but fuse 37 is the heated steering wheel on every year. Owners warn a poor fuse tap here can stop the heated wheel working.
