Which wires give constant, ignition and ground on a 2019 Ford Edge?
On a 2019 Ford Edge, take constant power from the Gray/Red wire at the gateway plug behind the OBD port, black 24-pin (C2431), pin 24, and ground to the Black/Blue wire at the gateway plug behind the OBD port, black 24-pin (C2431), pin 14. Meter every wire first.
Written by API Signal, fleet GPS and camera installers for 35+ years across Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, installing every major telematics and camera brand. Every wire on this page lists its source.
Test every wire with a meter before you tap it
No wiring information is ever guaranteed. Colors and locations change with trim, options and build date, and the manufacturer can change them in the middle of a model year. We share this as a starting point for installers, and you are responsible for confirming every connection on the truck in front of you.
This page covers the 2019 Ford Edge, the refresh year.
Maker guides agree on the gateway plug behind the OBD port: constant, ground and CAN. No source publishes an ignition wire, so ignition comes from a fuse tap. Ford's manuals for 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2020 list only push-button start. We did not find the 2019 manual, so check the vehicle. Our own team has not yet metered these on a 2019 vehicle.

Where do I get constant, ignition and ground on a 2019 Ford Edge?
Take constant and ground from the same area, and ignition from a fuse tap.

The gateway module sits right of the steering column with the OBD port on it. No ignition, accessory or starter wire color was found for any year of this body.
Option 2 Ignition
Fuse tap
For ignition power. Under the dash, left of the steering column.
Ignition
Fuse tap
Interior fuse panel, fuse 23 (10A, delayed accessory)An owner who hard-wired a dash cam reports this fuse is ignition controlled. Use an add-a-fuse tap, and meter the slot first. An installer also calls fuse 35 a switched spare on these years.
Ground
Body ground
Body metal under the dashClean, bare metal only. Never the battery negative post. One installer grounds to a bolt on the OBD harness bracket.
The cabin panel uses Micro2 and some Micro3 fuses. Delayed accessory stays on for a while after the vehicle is switched off.
