Which wires give constant, ignition and ground on a 2016 Ford E-Series Cutaway?

On a 2016 Ford E-Series Cutaway, take constant power from the Green/Red wire at the Ford upfitter connector at the driver B-pillar, ignition from the Yellow/Orange wire at the same B-pillar connector, and ground to the Black wire at the same B-pillar connector. Meter every wire first.

Written by API Signal, fleet GPS and camera installers for 35+ years across Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, installing every major telematics and camera brand. Every wire on this page lists its source.

Test every wire with a meter before you tap it

No wiring information is ever guaranteed. Colors and locations change with trim, options and build date, and the manufacturer can change them in the middle of a model year. We share this as a starting point for installers, and you are responsible for confirming every connection on the truck in front of you.

This page covers the 2016 Ford E-Series cutaway and stripped chassis (E-350 and E-450). Ford stopped building the E-Series van after 2014; the cutaway kept the same cab.

We did not find a 2016 Ford book. The installer sheet for 2009 to 2016 E-Series gives the ignition switch, and the rest comes from Ford's 2015 book. Our own team has not yet metered these on a 2016 truck, and each row says so.

Where do I get constant, ignition and ground on a 2016 Ford E-Series Cutaway?

Take constant, ignition and ground from the same area. Ford builds a customer power connector into the driver B-pillar with battery, run/start and ground, the same colors as the 2009 to 2014 vans.
