Which wires give constant, ignition and ground on a 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (NCV3)?

On a 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (NCV3), take constant power from the Red/Gray (rt/gr) wire at the EK1 body builder connector X145/1 in the driver seat base, terminal 2, ignition from the Black/Yellow (sw/ge) wire at the EK1 connector X145/1, terminal 3, and ground to clean, bare body metal. Meter every wire first.

Written by API Signal, fleet GPS and camera installers for 35+ years across Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, installing every major telematics and camera brand. Every wire on this page lists its source.

Test every wire with a meter before you tap it

No wiring information is ever guaranteed. Colors and locations change with trim, options and build date, and the manufacturer can change them in the middle of a model year. We share this as a starting point for installers, and you are responsible for confirming every connection on the truck in front of you.

This page covers the 2015 Sprinter (NCV3, W906), sold as Mercedes-Benz: cargo van, passenger van and cab chassis.

We did not find a 2015-specific sheet. The colors come from the 2007 to 2014 installer sheets and Mercedes' EK1 sheet, which cover the whole NCV3. Our own team has not yet metered these on a 2015 van, and each row says so.

Where do I get constant, ignition and ground on a 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (NCV3)?

Take constant, ignition and ground from the same area. Mercedes builds a body builder connector (EK1) into the driver seat base with battery, ignition and engine-running feeds, which is the cleanest spot on vans that have it.
