Which wires give constant, ignition and ground on a 2012 Mitsubishi Fuso Canter FE and FG?

On a 2012 Mitsubishi Fuso Canter FE and FG, take constant power from the Green/Red wire at the option connector C on the chassis, outside the cab (6-pin), pin 1, ignition from the Blue/Red wire at the option connector C on the chassis, outside the cab (6-pin), pin 3, and ground to the Black wire at the option connector C on the chassis, outside the cab (6-pin), pin 6. Meter every wire first.

Written by API Signal, fleet GPS and camera installers for 35+ years across Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, installing every major telematics and camera brand. Every wire on this page lists its source.

Test every wire with a meter before you tap it

No wiring information is ever guaranteed. Colors and locations change with trim, options and build date, and the manufacturer can change them in the middle of a model year. We share this as a starting point for installers, and you are responsible for confirming every connection on the truck in front of you.

This page covers the 2012 Mitsubishi Fuso Canter FE and FG cab over trucks.

Every color here comes from Mitsubishi Fuso's own 2012 body and lighting directive. Fuso gives body builders option connectors with battery, accessory, switched power and ground, and it prints the rear lamp wire colors. The option wires are rated for 1 amp, so bigger loads need a relay. Our own team has not yet metered these on a 2012 truck.

Where do I get constant, ignition and ground on a 2012 Mitsubishi Fuso Canter FE and FG?

Fuso puts battery, accessory, switched power and ground together on one option connector on the chassis.

Option 1 Constant, ignition, ground

Chassis option connector

All of the power wires in one plug, outside the cab.

Constant
Green/Red
Option connector C on the chassis, outside the cab (6-pin), pin 1Battery feed. Fuso prints it as BATT, code G-R.
Ignition
Blue/Red
Option connector C on the chassis, outside the cab (6-pin), pin 3Switched feed. Fuso prints it as MAIN, code L-R.
Accessory
White/Red
Option connector C on the chassis, outside the cab (6-pin), pin 2Accessory feed. Fuso prints it as ACC, code W-R.
Ground
Black
Option connector C on the chassis, outside the cab (6-pin), pin 6Ground. Fuso prints it as GND, code B.
From Fuso. These wires are for signal level current only: 1 amp maximum each, to switch a relay. That is enough for a tracker, but run a dash cam or any bigger load through a relay. Fuso does not print where on the chassis this plug sits. It mentions taking off the fender mud flap to reach the outside option connectors.
Option 2 Ignition

Behind the radio

A small option plug taped to the radio harness.

Ignition
Yellow/Green
Option connector A inside the cab, taped to the radio harness, pin 1Switched 12 volt feed. Fuso prints it as MAIN (12V). Signal level only, 1 amp maximum.
Constant
Source conflict
Not confirmed inside the cabFuso's text says a Red/Black wire at the lower right side of the dash is a battery feed, but its own table lists that wire as an idle up switch input. Meter it before you trust it.
From Fuso. The same plug carries the two vehicle speed signal wires listed further down.

From Mitsubishi Fuso's 2012 Canter body and lighting directive. Fuso prints most of these wires as letter codes. It spells out Yellow/Green, Green/White and Red/Black in words, and we read the other codes the same way (L is blue).
