Which wires give constant, ignition and ground on a 2008 Ford E-Series Van and Cutaway?

On a 2008 Ford E-Series Van and Cutaway, take constant power from the Light Green/Violet wire at the ignition switch harness, ignition from the Pink/Light Green wire at the ignition switch harness, and ground to clean, bare body metal. Meter every wire first.

Written by API Signal, fleet GPS and camera installers for 35+ years across Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, installing every major telematics and camera brand. Every wire on this page lists its source.

Test every wire with a meter before you tap it

No wiring information is ever guaranteed. Colors and locations change with trim, options and build date, and the manufacturer can change them in the middle of a model year. We share this as a starting point for installers, and you are responsible for confirming every connection on the truck in front of you.

This page covers the 2008 Ford E-Series, the first year after the 2008 facelift: E-150 to E-350 vans, E-350 and E-450 cutaways and stripped chassis.

The colors come from installer sheets for 2008 vans. 2008 still uses Ford's older wire colors. Our own team has not yet metered these on a 2008 van, and each row says so.
