Which wires give constant, ignition and ground on a 2007 International 4300 and 4400?

On a 2007 International 4300 and 4400, take ignition from the Pink wire at the cab fuse block (inside the cab), ignition relay output, circuit A13AH, and ground to clean, bare body metal. Meter every wire first.

Written by API Signal, fleet GPS and camera installers for 35+ years across Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, installing every major telematics and camera brand. Every wire on this page lists its source.

Test every wire with a meter before you tap it

No wiring information is ever guaranteed. Colors and locations change with trim, options and build date, and the manufacturer can change them in the middle of a model year. We share this as a starting point for installers, and you are responsible for confirming every connection on the truck in front of you.

This page covers the 2007 International 4300 and 4400, the last model year with the Electrical System Controller.

Navistar tells installers not to take power at the key switch on this truck. It gives relay output circuits in the cab fuse block for ignition and accessory, and those are the wires on this page. Navistar identifies wires by circuit number, and the colors here come from its color chart for each circuit number. Lamp wires are at the body builder connector. Our own team has not yet metered these on a 2007 truck.

Where do I get constant, ignition and ground on a 2007 International 4300 and 4400?

Navistar gives ignition, accessory and ground at the cab fuse block and the dash panel. Constant power comes from the Mega-fuse.

Option 1 Ignition, accessory, ground

The relay outputs Navistar names for added equipment.

Cab fuse block (inside the cab), ignition relay output, circuit A13AHNavistar's tap point for key-on power. The same book also gives circuit J13CW at the ignition relay in the power distribution center under the hood.
Accessory
Light Blue
Cab fuse block (inside the cab), accessory relay output, circuit A12BNavistar's tap point for accessory power.
Ground
Ground stud
Ground studs on the dash panelNavistar says to ground added equipment to the chassis or to these studs, never to the batteries. Ground wires on this truck are white.
Tap points from Navistar's body builder electrical book S08300 (2005). Colors from Navistar's circuit color chart: circuit 13 is the pink ignition feed, circuit 12 is the light blue accessory feed and ground circuits are white. The book gives the circuit number at each tap, so go by the circuit number and meter it. Navistar says not to connect to the key switch itself.
Option 2 Constant

Battery feed

Navistar's battery connection for added loads.

Constant
Fuse stud, color not published
Mega-fuse, unfused side, through an inline Maxi fuse holder. Or any unused Maxi-fuse position in the power distribution center under the hoodNavistar's battery feed for added equipment. No more than 45 added amps and no more than 3 ring terminals on the stud. Battery feed wires on this truck are red.
From Navistar's body builder electrical book S08300 (2005). Fuse the new wire as close to this point as you can.

This truck is multiplexed. Navistar identifies every wire by circuit number, and the colors here come from its color chart for each circuit number.

Sources: Navistar's body builder electrical book S08300 (2005) and Navistar's circuit color chart from the Navistar circuit diagram manuals. Navistar lists this truck with both a black 250K and a green 500K 9-pin connector and does not say which year changed. Door, hazard and headlight wires, the 9-pin cavities and the port location were not found.

Not this page2008 and newerTrucks built from about March 2007 have the new Body Controller and a different ignition circuit number. A late built 2007 truck can be the new system: the Body Controller sits behind a kick plate by the driver's left foot. No source was opened for 2004 and older.

Where are the fuse boxes and ground points on a 2007 International 4300 and 4400?

InteriorInside cab fuse blockHolds the ignition and accessory relays. Navistar describes a lamp connector as behind the instrument panel, left of the interior fuse panel. The exact panel position was not found.
Under the hoodPower distribution centerHolds the Maxi-fuse positions and an ignition relay. Navistar puts ground stud 4005 near it.
Ground pointsGround studs on the dash panelOr the chassis. Never the batteries.

From Navistar's body builder electrical books. No fuse chart was found, so no fuse tap position is given. Navistar's method is the relay output circuits, not a fuse tap.
