GPS Tracker & Camera Installation, Right The First Time

API FleetStart is how we look after owner-operators and contractors. Your vehicles are the business, so we come to them, install the tracker or camera properly, and show you it is reporting correctly before we leave. One van or ten trucks, anywhere in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.

What We Fit

Trackers, Cameras And The Work Around Them

One visit, one price, whatever combination the vehicle needs.

A work truck on the ground exchanging a GPS signal with a satellite overhead

GPS Telematics

Hardwired and OBD trackers on vans, pickups, box trucks and trailers, sited so they hold a signal instead of hiding under a metal panel.

A truck cab labeled with the diagnostic port, the plugged-in ELD, and the driver's hours of service log on a dash-mounted tablet

ELDs

Electronic logging devices (ELDs) plugged into the diagnostic port and paired to the driver's tablet or phone, so drivers who have to log hours of service do it electronically. Often it is the same unit as your GPS tracker, so one visit covers both.

Dash camera mounted beside the rearview mirror, recording the road ahead

Dash & Multi-Camera Systems

Road-facing, dual-facing and multi-camera systems, plus backup cameras routed and aimed properly rather than stuck to the glass.

Battery powered asset tracker mounted under a flatbed trailer frame

Asset & Trailer Units

Battery and solar units for trailers, equipment and anything without its own power, fitted where they will not be knocked off.

A self-loading recovery truck lifting a small car with its PTO-driven wheel lift

PTO & Equipment Integration

PTO and hydraulic equipment wired into your telematics, so wheel lifts, dump bodies, lift gates and spreaders report run time instead of just engine hours.

A driver fob being tapped on an in-cab reader, sending the driver name to the fleet portal

Driver ID

Driver ID readers and fobs fitted in the cab, so every trip is logged under a named driver in your GPS portal rather than just a vehicle.

A refrigerated trailer with a temperature probe reporting a box reading to the fleet portal

Sensors & Temperature Monitoring

Refrigeration, door, tank and load sensors wired into the system you already run, with an alert the moment a reading goes out of range.

Where We Work

Where Do You Come Out To?

We come to your vehicles across Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.

API Signal installation van at a fleet yard in Georgia

Your yard, your driveway, your job site

Our technicians travel to the vehicles rather than asking anyone to give up a working day driving to a shop. We load the van with the harnesses, cameras and 12 volt parts the job calls for and fit them where the trucks already sit.

If the vehicles are spread over more than one location, we schedule the visits around how they actually run, so the ones earning money in the morning are done in the afternoon.

Questions We Get Asked

API FleetStart, Answered

Will you come out for two vehicles?

Yes. Two vehicles is a normal job for us. You get the same technicians, the same install standard and the same documentation as a two-hundred-vehicle fleet, and the same proof that it is working before we leave.

Do we bring the vehicles to you?

No, we come to your vehicles. On site is the whole model, and it means the trucks lose the least amount of working time. Your yard, your driveway or your job site all work.

What does the installation cost?

It depends on the vehicle and whether the device plugs in or gets hardwired. We quote per vehicle before we start, and we tell you which choices cost more and why rather than surprising you at the end.

Can you fit cameras and a tracker on the same visit?

Yes. A tracker, a road-facing or dual-facing dash cam and a backup camera can all go in on one visit, on one price, rather than taking the vehicle out of service three times.

The Detail

How Does API FleetStart Actually Work?

One visit, a straight per-vehicle price, and proof the system is reporting before we drive away. The full walk-through โ€” what a rushed plug-in install costs you later, how long each vehicle takes, what to do if you have not chosen a system yet, and what happens as the fleet grows โ€” is on its own page.
