API FleetStart™1 to 10 vehicles

The Program

What Is API FleetStart?

API FleetStart is for the operator running one van or ten trucks who has just bought a tracking or camera system, or is about to. You are running the work and the vehicles at the same time, and the install should not become one more job on your list. That is the part we take.

FleetStart takes that off your hands. We install it, we prove it works, and we leave you a system you can actually use on Monday. You get the same technicians, the same install standard and the same documentation as our largest fleet customers — what changes is the shape of the job, built around your working day rather than a dispatch office.

Worth Knowing First

What A Rushed Plug-In Install Costs You Later

Plug-in devices do go in fast. The trouble shows up later. A device sharing a diagnostic port with something else starts throwing fault codes the engine never produced. A tracker sitting under metal loses its position in parking decks and reports miles that were never driven. A dash cam wired to the wrong power source keeps running after the key is off and pulls the battery down over a weekend.

None of that announces itself. The reports keep arriving and they look fine, which is exactly why it is worth having put in by people who do this every day. We do this work daily across three states, and we would rather you spend that morning running your business.

Timing

How Long Does It Take Per Vehicle?

A stopwatch showing thirty to sixty minutes per vehicle install time

A plug-in device is minutes. A hardwired tracker is usually thirty to sixty minutes. A dash cam runs longer because the wire has to be routed properly and the camera has to be aimed, and a multi-camera setup or a work truck with hydraulics longer still. We can normally do the whole thing in one visit if the vehicles are together and the keys are available.

The one step nobody automates: somebody has to bring the keys. We will tell you exactly when we are coming so the vehicles are where they need to be.

Before You Buy

What If We Have Not Chosen A System Yet?

Then it is worth a phone call before you do. We install every major platform, so we have no reason to push you toward one. What we can tell you is which systems go in cleanly on your specific vehicles, which ones cause trouble on certain body types, and what the install side of the cost actually looks like. That conversation takes ten minutes and it saves people from buying hardware that fights their trucks.

The Honest Answer

What Most Owners Actually Want Out Of It

Three things, in our experience. Knowing where the vehicles are without calling the driver. Having video when somebody claims one of your trucks caused something it did not. And proof of what time a crew arrived and left. All three depend on the install being right, because a system that drops out or reports the wrong times is not worth paying a subscription for.

What Happens When The Fleet Grows

We keep the spec. When you add the fifth truck or the ninth, we build it the same way as the first, so your reports stay comparable across the whole fleet. When you pass ten vehicles, API ProFleet picks it up with a written standard, scheduled waves and per-vehicle verification. Nothing restarts and nothing gets re-explained.

Also Asked

Warranty, Moving Devices And After Hours

Will a GPS tracker install void our vehicle warranty?

A properly done install does not damage the vehicle or cut factory wiring where it can be avoided. We wire to the correct circuits and document what we touched, so there is a record if anyone ever asks.

Can you move the device when a truck gets replaced?

Yes. We pull it from the old vehicle and install it in the replacement, so the hardware you already paid for keeps working and the old vehicle goes out clean.

Can you install after hours?

Yes. Early, late or weekend, so the vehicles keep working during the day.
